Vail Resorts Opens Private-Lesson Bookings for Up to Six at the Same Lesson Price

Vail Resorts said September 29 that online reservations are open for Epic Ascent private ski and snowboard lessons at Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek. One booking can cover one to six participants at the same lesson price, making the group-size limit a useful detail for families and friends planning a lesson this winter, according to the company’s announcement.

Epic Ascent adds concierge help with planning rentals, dining and transportation, along with flexible meeting arrangements and skip-the-lift-line access. Vail says private lessons at both resorts will include the additions during the 2026–27 winter season. It says there is no separate Epic Ascent surcharge, though normal increases in private-lesson prices can still apply.

What guests still pay for

The lesson price does not cover every part of a ski day. Each participant needs a valid lift ticket or pass, and concierge help arranging rentals, meals or transportation does not make those purchases part of the lesson. Guests who want access to the private gear-fitting area must book their rentals through Epic Ascent, according to the Vail Mountain offer details.

The September 29 news is the opening of reservations, rather than the first disclosure of the program: Vail Resorts outlined Epic Ascent in July. For prospective guests, the choice is now more concrete: a group of up to six can share the stated private-lesson price, while each person must arrange the lift access and any other purchases needed for the trip.
